The food of Menorca is characterized by the sea, fish and shellfish abound in all kinds of forms; These seafood products are of the highest quality, since UNESCO declared the island (and its waters) Biosphere Reserve in 1993.

Its small size may limit the leisure offer a little, but even so, it has a good range of activities to do.
Mainly, we recommend visiting the small and charming beaches that are found along the entire coastline of the area (we recommend some below).
If you are not crazy about sand and salt water, you can visit the Aquarock water park, perfect for enjoying with the family, both in the water and sunbathing.
In summer many activities are carried out, such as the Port Market, which is set up during the summer nights in one of the port’s small squares; or the boat excursions that can be booked in the same place.
It should be added that Menorca has a very rich and present history everywhere. In particular, we recommend visiting the Navetes and the Talaiots, structures built by the first settlers of the island. It is also very interesting to visit the bunkers, towers, lighthouses and fortifications that surround the island, and which tell about the life of the island over the centuries.

EASY AND ECONOMIC
Easy to book online and much cheaper than other rental companies. The only downside was that the car I rented was probably one of the older ones and was ready to be replaced, it looked a little tired and had quite a few miles on it compared to other cars I had rented.

THE BEST BEACHES
CALA’N BOSCH
Located right next to the complex’s port, it is a small white sand beach with very easy access.
Next to the beach you can find a park and several bars and restaurants.
PLAYA DE SON XORIGUER
If you continue east from Cala’n Bosch, you will find Son Xoriguer beach, which has a parking lot and various services.
One of them is a diving center, so you can enjoy the beach in a unique way.
CALA BLANCA
A beautiful beach located south of Ciutadella, which is located a few meters from an archaeological site open to the public and that anyone can visit.
In addition, it has a small forest where you can have a picnic, if you don’t want to be on the sand.
